Maureen, the Recreation. Advisory Board would like to speak at the meeting on
May 8. Topics to present; 1) Park Protection Ordinance-would like to have ttte
City Manager and Alan Jensen review the City of Jacksonville ordinance and
prepare pro's and con's of Atlantic Beach adapting a similar ordinare. 2)
Summer Programs-the Board proposes allocating 'l8k for Summer Programs (monies
were alkxated in budget). Karen Sadler with Arttafe will have a proposal far
programs for elderly, adults arxi youth. This would be three separate programs
that would be managed by Tim Johnson and Karen's company. 3) Partnership with
Atlantic Beach Elementary-Yailocation of funds to make necessary improvements
far baseball and soccer fields {includes refurbishing fields, irrigation,
1"~ghting, benches). Timmy Johnson will have detailed list and budget.
