Dear Mr. Joe Hills,
Consider this an Official Notification of Violation. That on March 12, 2003 a joint inspection of the
Dagley Salvage Yard was conducted in conjunction with a Florida DEP follow-up inspection. This
inspection revealed that you were conducting an automotive repair business independent from that of
the salvage yard, and that you are operating with an invalid business license.
The aforementioned violation was originally resolved through a mutual agreement with you and Mr.
Raymond Dagley Jr., whereas you were to work under the existing salvage yard business license
issued under Mr. Dagley's name. It has since come to my attention that this agreement no longer
exists, per a legal notification dated July 21, 2006 (Encl #1).
As you have had sufficient previous knowledge and notification (Encl #2) of what is required of you to
operate a business in the City of Atlantic Beach, you will curtail all business activities until you have
applied for and received a Use-By-Exception and are properly licensed to operate a business at your
present location.
I've enclosed copies of previous mentioned correspondence for your edification. Furthermore, I would
like to remind you of your responsibilities as a businessman and resident of Atlantic Beach and that
continued violations of City Code can result in fines of up to $500.00 per day, per violation from the
Code Enforcement Board.
