Summary of Jordan Park activities: June 12, 2000 • Coordinated and attended field trip to the IMAX Theater in St. Augustine. • Attended field trip to Jacksonville Beach Public Library to prepare campers for their final exams. • Coordinated and created schedule for Softball season at Jordan and Donner Parks. • Held weekly study hall sessions, including tutoring, rnentoring and assisting in homework assignments of the children. Summary of Donner Park activities: • Scheduled the US census bureau for building usage. • Attended Senior Health Fair with 8 members of the Donner Park Seniors Group at the Prime Osborne Convention Center. • Prepared permission slips, field trip forms and dental van applications for our Summer Camp beginning June 12th • Attainted quotes from various vendors to prepare for summer activities scheduled for summer campers. • Helped with coordination of the "Youth Explosion 2000" sponsored by local area churches. °' Met with Jamie Fletcher of the Atlantic Beach Teen Council to assist teens with preparation of the Teen Dance scheduled for June 3`~. Helped in preparation for the teens next event. • Met with members of Palms Presbyterian Outreach Ministry. Members of the ministry will be volunteering at the center to assist the children with remedial reading and math. They will also be assisting in some of our scheduled arts and craft activities. Other Adele Grage and Parks 8~ Recreation activities included: • Attained quotes in preparation of the, Lifeguard Station project. • Coordinated and attended interviews for the City Gardener position. • Met with staff regarding 2000-2001 budget. Prepared the budget and submitted by deadline. • Prepared minutes and agenda for the Recreation Advisory Board. • Monitored construction of Bull. Memorial Park Project and tree removal to Seminole Road. • Other activities included daily meetings, webpage updates, completing weekly reports, telephone calls, park inspections, etc.
