Florida Inland Navigation Distrct~FIND) to hold meeting in Atlantic Beach;
FIND is scheduled to meet in Atlantic Beach on July 21-22 (Friday and Saturday). FIND
has provided significant funding for the Tide View Preserve and Dutton Preserve and
will touring both during their meeting here. There will be a reception at the Sea Turtle
Inn on Friday, July 21, 2000. Elected officials and staff will be invited.
I T Plan Underway; Essential Net Solutions Inc. has. been hired to prepare an
information technology (I T) master plan for the City. This plan will access the City's
current I T infrastructure, prioritize and schedule needed improvements, estimate the
cost for each step and make other recommendations. Consultants are currently
interviewing city employees and testing present equipment. The plan will be completed
in July.
~,..,q Bank Draft Program; Nelson Van Liere has completed arrangements to allow city
utility customers to have utility bill payments automatically drafted from their checking
accounts if they desire and will make a report on this new option_for customers at this
Commission Meeting.
Superior Achievement Award; to Jerry Benjamin, Deputy Finance Director for Atlantic
Beach. Nelson Van Liere will outline his recommendation for making a Superior Award
to Jerry Benjamin in accordance with City Policy.
