DISASTER PREPAREDNE"SS PROCLAMATION CONTINUATION OF BAN ON USE OR DISCHARGE OF FIREWORKS, FLARES, EXPLOSIVES, SPARKLERS, OR OUTDOOR BLfRNIlVG DEVICES WHEREAS, a Proclamation was issued by Mayor Delaney, declaring a disaster emergency in Duval County due to the occurrence or threat from wildfires because of drought, wind conditions, and water shortage; and WHEREAS, on May 30, 2000, a Proclamation was issued by me declaring a similar disaster emergency in Atlantic Beach, and WHEREAS, these Proclamations banned the sale, use or discharge of fireworks, flares, sparklers, or any outdoor burning devices for a period not longer than (30) thirty days unless renewed by subsequent Proclamations, and WHEREAS, it is adjudged that the threat of fire and all attendant disaster emergency conditions continue to exist. NOW THEREFORE, BY THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS MAYOR OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, I DO HEREBY PROCLAIM AS FOLLOWS: Following the expiration on June 29, 2000, of the Proclamation issued by me on May 30, 2000, the City of Atlantic Beach shall comply with the recommendations of the Emergency Management Center and any further guidelines issued by Mayor Delaney regarding the state ofDisaster Emergency, as heretofore proclaimed, while the threat of, or danger from, the disaster emergency exists. 1N WITNESS WHEREOF I have set my hand and caused the official .seal of the City of Atlantic Beach to be affixed this day of June, 2000.
