Summary of Jordan Park activities:
• Donner Park Commurirty Center was the host site for a Teen Dance sponsored by the
Atlantic Beach Teen Council. The dance consisted of over 1011 local teenagers.
Summer Camg began with 4s campers artrf 12 teen volunteers. P-aEns F'resbyte~iarf
Church'and'Outre'ach Ministries Kaye organized~votunteers to'com'e'out on 1Nedne~ay's
to help out as needed.
° The U.S.D.A. Commodities food give-away was a success this month. 'l g8 famines
received commodities. Teenaged voiun#eers worked through the evening bagging boxes
for the distril2ution,
• Act'~v'tties for the month 'tnclttded feld trips to the movies, Blades Skate Station and a frig
to Hannah Park.
Surnrrtary of Donner Park activities:
° Jordan. Park Summer Camp sponsored a Piaa Party which consisted of outdoor activities
to include #!ag football and basketba!!.
• Attended basketball camp at the University of Florida.
• Jordan Park children attended field trips along with Donner Park children to Blades Skate
Station and a trip to the movies.
`Other Adele Grage and Perks ~ Recreation activities incloded:
• Oversee the construction of the t_ifeguard Station and Bull lvlemoria! Park.
• Held depar#mental meetings regarding budget requests and information.
• Completed weekly reports.
° Held special meeting with Recreation Advisory Board
° Attended Grant Workshop with Qavid Thompson in Cocoa Beach, Fionda.
• Completed and processed Beautification requisitions and purchase orders.
• All other normal departmental activities to include webpage updates, repaired minor city
netaiorking problems, attended meetings, eta
