Hosted flag football games at Jordan Park • Attended field trip to Fletcher High School and placed in flag football tournament. • Attended Back to School picnic at Donner Park hosted by Helping Hands Ministries. __ __ • Held drug awareness discussion with Summer Camp attendees along with neighborhood children. Summary of Donner Park activities: • The DATA Group from Neptune Beach Elementary volunteered at our camp all month. The DATA group along with Helping Hands ministries from Friendship Baptist Church came out each Friday and prepared lunch on the BBQ grills in the park. • Guest speakers from our police department came out to have discussions with the children. David Archer along with Neptune Beach police and members of the Mayport Naval Stations Marine Pilots Division also were in attendance. • Attended field trips to the Ritz Museum in Downtown Jacksonville, the Mosh Planetarium, St. John's Seafood restaurant, bowling and Hannah Park in Jacksonville. Other Adele Grage and Parks & Recreation activities included: • Oversaw construction at Bull Memorial Park • Completed construction at the Lifeguard Station and Landscaping. • Attended FIND banquet at Sea Turtle Inn. Also coordinated Tour to Dutton Island and Tideviews Preserve. • Attained appraisal information for purchase of property for Athletic Field • Attended meeting regarding dune crossover information with Bob Kosoy • Attended Grant Meeting with David Thompson • Coordinated meeting with Susan Dunham regarding Beautification Department maintenance • Met with Contractors regarding Bull Park and Lifeguard Station. • Completed monthly and weekly reports, webpage updates, answered phones and oversaw direction of Summer Camp at Donner and Jordan Park. • Received a $10,000 grant from FIND to design pier at Dutton Island. 7 ~ PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT STATUS REPORT (D)=DESIGN ENGINEER DEPARTMENT (CE&I)=CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER (C)=CONTRACTOR PROJECT DESCRIPTION PROJECT NO. AND INFORMATION STATUS ON S!4/00 1. Village of Mayport (D)=USCG &JEA Force main installation and tie in for Coast Guard Station has been completed. (CE&I)=JEA & Public Works The lift station is 92% complete, installation of sanitary sewer is 50% complete, Design -100% complete (C)=Petticoat Contracting (to USCG Station) and the force main is 50% complete. Roadway work is 90% complete, drainage is (C)=United Brothers (North of USCG Station) 5% complete, and electrical conduit is 5% complete. The scope of work was Construction - 33% complete increased to add substantial electrical work and drainage. 2. Core City Stormwater Project CORE99 Aikenhead & Odom gave a presentation to the City Commission on 7/24/00, and (D)= Original by England, Thims & Miller is scheduled meet with the SRC on 8/10!00. Completed cured-in-place. piping of (CE&I)=Public Works sewer mains on la`, 2°a, 3ra, 4"', 6"', 7"' and 8"' Streets and Plaza by 8/3/00. Started Design -100% complete (C)=Insituform Technologies, Inc. replacing sewer services on 1'` Street on 7/31/00. Construction - 25% complete 4. Wonderwood Connector Utility (D}=The R-A-M Professional Group, Inc. Force main connected at Mayport Road and Wonderwood Road. City Commission approved funding for Design -100% complete design of replacement sludge holding tanks on 7/24/00, and approved funds for noise and odor control on 6/12/00. Noise and odor control equipment on order, Construction - 99% complete awaiting delivery. Poured concrete pads for odor control system. 7. Atlantic Beach and Buccaneer (D)=Gee & Jenson Project on hold until completion of Sewer Master Plan. Sewer System Improvements Design -100% complete 8. Town Center (D)=Glen Mitchell & Assoc. Final inspection of roadway and drainage work was held on 4/4/00, and copy of (C)=ABBA Construction punchlist received on 4/28/00.
