AGENDA ITEM: Approve conceptual plan for the construction of a community
center at Jordan Park

BACKGROUND: At the Apri124, 2000 Ciry Commission Meeting, the Commission
endorsed the concept of constructing a community center in Jordan
- Park. Beaches Habitat would design and construct the facility and
the City would purchase all. material.
Attached is the conceptual plan, which has been agreed upon by
. ~ Beaches Habitat and Donner Community Development
Cooperation. The recreation area is 1125 square feet and the total
square footage is roughly 2850 square feet. In comparison to
Donner Park, Donner Park Community Center recreation area is
1140 and the total square footage is roughly 2100. Beaches
Habitat has indicated the material cost. to construct such a facility is
$94,000.
BUDGET: None. Funds will be budgeted for materials ($94,000).
RECOMMENDATION: Approve. the conceptual plan for the construction of the Jordan
Park Community Center. The City will purchase all material not to
exceed $94,000.
