SUBJECT: Follow-ud items
The following is the response to questions and requests for additional information that were made
in recent City Commission meetings.
11~' Street Beach Access: When the City Commission approved the application for funding to the
City of Jacksonville for improvements to beach access points, a request was made to see the plans
prior to construction. Attached are two drawings of the proposed new ramp at the 1 l~` street
access. You will notice that the drawings incorporate the intent of the City Commission's
ordinance to eliminate handrails from future walkovers. However, a small rail on each side of the
walk is proposed for safety.
Water/Sewer Rate Options: The Commission at the last budget review meeting asked that
information be prepared showing options for water and sewer rate increases. The information
needed will not be available in time for the 8/28/00 Commission meeting but will be presented at a
later meeting.
