AGENDA ITEM: Authorize the purchase of 61ots located on West Plaza for an
athletic field not to exceed $80,000

BACKGROUND: At the August 14, 2000 City Commission meeting, the
Commission authorize the City Manager to negotiate the purchase
of 61ots located on West Plaza for an athletic field. Staff and the
owner (Frank DeBow) agreed to $75,000 for the 61ots with the
City paying all closing cost as long as the closing takes place
within 30 days.
BUDGET: There is $250,000 in the budget for property purchase.
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the purchase of 6 lots located on West Plaza for an
athletic field not to exceed $80,000
