A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO BUILDING INSPECTOR'S
VEHICLES, FOR THE AMOUNT OF $ 52,780.00 AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, two new vehicles will be necessary to replace building inspector's vehicles for
the Building Department; and
WHEREAS, $ 52,780.00 is currently available in Building Department reserve funds, for FY
2020; and
WHEREAS, the Building Department reserve funds will be in compliance with State Statute
553.80(7); and
WHEREAS, hybrid vehicles will produce less harmful emissions, have higher gas mileage,
and be generally beneficial to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Findings. The foregoing recitals are true and correct.
SECTION 2. The City Commission approves the purchase of two new hybrid
replacement vehicles for the Building Department, for the amount of $ 52,780.00.
SECTION 6. Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final
passage and adoption.
