BACKGROUND: The City's office building at 902 Assisi Lane is in need of re-roofing, including
replacement of the existing shingles, 30 pound felt underlayment, bake galvanized eave drip, lead
plumbing boots, and kitchen and bath vents.
Bid specifications were sent to eight bidders, and six bids were received on August 30, 2000. Two
bidders submitted all required documentation, and four bidders were considered non-responsive for
failure to submit required documents. The bid award recommendation is based on the lowest total
price from responsive bidders.

$12,500.00 $16,200.00
Wilson &HSL Roofing was the responsive low bidder. References on this company were
satisfactory.
BUDGET: Funds for re-roofing the City facility at 902 Assisi Lane were budgeted under the
Water Utility Fund, account number 400-4301-533-6200 in the amount of $15,000.
RECOMMENDATION: Award the contract for re-roofing the City's facility at 902 Assisi
Lane to Wilson &HSL Roofing in the amount of $12,500.
