Exh 4CAGENDA ITEM #4C SEPTEMBER 25, 2000 ~ a ___ CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION MEETING STAFF REPORT AGENDA ITEM: Award Bid Number 9900-26, Lawn Maintenance of City Facilities in the amount of $61,264 SUBMITTED BY: Timmy Johnson, Recreation Director DATE: September 18, 2000 BACKGROUND: The Awards Committee held the bid opening for bid no. 9900-26 Lawn Maintenance of City Facilities Wednesday, September 13, 2000 at 3:00 PM. Instead of bidding the Public Works facilities separately, this bid includes the water and sewer plants as well as city parks. Golden Rule has maintained the City's Parks for the past three years. Little League has agreed to maintain ball field "A" at Russell Park; therefore, the total numbers represent a $7,200 deduction for the ball field. The Committee received the following bids: Golden Rule Services (excluding Ballfield "A") $61,446 Turf-Masters (excluding Ballfield "A") $146,280 The funding for this service is included in account number 001- 5005-572-34-00 (contractual services). Golden Rule's bid does come within the budgeted amount. RECOMMENDATION: Award bid no. 9900-26 to Golden Rule Services in the amount of $61,264 for Lawn Maintenance of City Facilities.
