RE: Unlawful Tree Removal/420 Whiting Lane (RE 171446 0000)
Dear Ms. Person:
Enclosed is a copy of the Tree Removal Permit Application that members of the Atlantic Beach Tree
Conservation Board discussed with you at the June 1 e meeting and requested that you complete. I
have filled in most of the information for you, and highlighted the items that you will need to complete,
including your contact information and your signature on the back of each form.
On the instructions page, I highlighted the steps that you will need to follow in order to show the Tree
Board the location of the removed tree, as well as other trees that you want to keep in your yard. On
a copy of your property survey, place an "x" where the Cedar tree was removed, and place brackets
"[ ]" at the location of trees to be preserved. Next to the brackets, write what type of tree it is and the
diameter. To get the diameter, measure around the tree trunk at about shoulder height, and divide
that number by 3.14. Once you have this all completed, you can drop it off to me at City Hall, and I
will make copies for the Tree Board.
Additionally, I have included a copy of the Atlantic Beach Tree Protection Code for your reference
and a list of recommended trees for our area. If you have questions in the meantime, you may
