In reviewing the mitigation plan submitted for the above listed address, I have found that you noted that
"All trees are 2" caliper unless noted". Apparently this was to include the numerous Oaks cited.
Species other than Oaks may have a minimum two-inch caliper, as specified in Section 23-17(e)(2) a.
However, new replacement Oaks must be a minimum four -inch caliper:
New, pmserved non -protected, or transplanted Oaks used as replacement for
removed protected Oaks shall be four4nch caliper or greater [Section 23-
17(e)(2) c].
As a reminder, the required mitigation for this site is 25" of Hardwoods and 10" of Palms. Alternatively,
the property owner has the option of paying $117.00 per inch (for a total of $4095.00) into the Tree
Fund. Mitigation may be in one form or the other, or a combination of the two. Furthermore, a
mitigation plan or payment into the Tree Fund must be accomplished within sbc months of issue of the
Tree Removal Permit The permit for this property (#07-00000386) was issued on March 30, 2007.
The monitoring phase of the 18 -month survival requirement of the replacement trees will begin on the
date of issue of the Certificate of Occupancy, at which time all replacement frees are required to be
installed.
Thank you for attention to this matter. I look forward to receiving a revised mitigation plan from you.
Sincerely,
Erika Hall
