Please be advised of the following board vacancies:
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BOARD:
(Appointed by the City Commission)
Sharette Simpkins has resigned from this board and a replacement needs to be appointed.
. .This term will expire December 31, 2001
Section 14-17 of the City Code provides that members of the Community Development Board
must be residents of Atlantic Beach, and where practical, shall possess some special skill or
knowledge which would assist them in the discharge of their responsibilities.
CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD:
(Appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Commission)
Two terms will expire on this board on September 30, as follows:
James Pelkey:
Mr. Pelkey has served one term on the Code Enforcement Board and is willing to
continue serving if reappointed.
Robert Ethridge:
Mr. Ethridge has served one term on the Code Enforcement Board and does not
wish to be reappointed
Section 2-141 of the City Code provides that the membership of the Code Enforcement shall,
where possible, include an architect, businessman, engineer, a general contractor, a realtor, a
subcontractor, and a person with zoning or building experience.
