Kosoy, Director of Public Works _^ ~S DATE: October 17, 2000 BACKGROUND: First Vehicle Services is requesting an annual increase to the contract for the current fiscal year (11/15/00 through 11/14/00) to extend their contract which began on 11/15/97 and expires on 11/14!00. Currently the contract price is $175,873.00 and the proposed increase, in accordance with the Consumer Price Index, would be $4,633, with an additional $4,000 requested to offset the expense of replacing the tires that have a short wearing life due to very bad terrain at the landfill site. The total increase would therefore be, $8,633, raising the proposed contract price to $184,506. BUDGET: $185,361 budgeted for FY00-01 in account number 540-5004-590-3401. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the annual increase of $8,633 and renew the existing contract for one year, from 11/15/00 through 11/14/01. ATTACHMENTS: First Vehicle Services memorandum dated 9/11/00.
