WHEREAS, on June 3rd, 2020, five bids were opened for City Bid #192004 for the
Public Works/Public Safety Equipment Building; and
W H K EAS, the low bid was from Core Construction Company of Jacksonville, Inc. in
the total Lump Sum amount of $133,000.00; and
WHEREAS, Core Construction Company of Jacksonville, Inc. submitted all required
documents in their bid submittal; and
WHEREAS, the project is a DESIGN/BUILD PROJECT, consisting of the purchase,
delivery, assembly, erection and construction of one Pre -Engineered Steel Building with Concrete
Foundation to be installed at the Public Works City Yard. Building dimensions will be 80'L x
45'W x 20'H and include 4 large manual roll up doors (14' x 14' each); and
WHEREAS, the Contractor will be given ninety (90) days to complete the project;
WHEREAS, the project is funded under account 300-5001-541-62-00; project #PW2011;
and;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid #1920-04 to Core Construction
Company of Jacksonville, Inc. in the amount of $133,000.00 to construct the Public Works/Public
Safety Equipment Building at Public Works in accordance with the bid specifications;
SECTION 20 The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with Core Construction Company of Jacksonville, Inc.;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
