Purpose:
The City Commission is the legislative and policy making body of the City. The City Commission is comprised of an elected Mayor/Commissioner, who serves two-year terms, and four City
Commissioners who serve four-year terms. The City Commission is responsible for appointing the City Manager, City Clerk and City Attorney; adopting an operating budget for the City;
establishing boards and committees as necessary and appointing the members thereof; passing ordinances and laws for the preservation of the public peace and order; and adopting zoning
standards for the City.
Mission Statement:
It is the intention of the City Commission to ensure that the City maintains and improves the residential quality of life now enjoyed by residents.
