I do not feel this inclusion is harmful in any way to the services they will offer and their business itself would be a welcome addition to the area as a whole. Atlantic Beach has lost many small businesses due to the proposed Gate Station and new businesses by local residents are a welcome addition. I have known Georgie Salzer for five years when she started as a barista at Starbucks and worked her way up the ladder to store manager. She is very people oriented and customer friendly. She and her husband are active in the community and attend many commission and community meetings. That said, I would hope the Commision would look favorably on the Salzers and their request. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. 1 Reeves, Derek From: Jennifer Hill <jjhill76@hotmail.com> Sent: Monday, August 22, 2016 11:28 AM To: Reeves, Derek; Reeves, Mitch; Hill, Jimmy; Stinson, John; Waters, Blythe; Harding, Mitchell; slscreatives@gmail.com Subject: Jon & Georgie Salzer- Pure Imagination Good Morning! I am writing to express my support of Jon and Georgie Salzer and their proposed new business, Pure Imagination. I have come to know them both because our children play together at the park. And, in speaking with them about their business, I am excited for them and the City of Atlantic Beach. I love that their business will allow them to continue to express their creativity and allow others in the community to do so as well. I also love that it will be a business that is locally-owned and operated when there are more and more big-box chains making their way out to the beach all the time. I understand that there is some discussion about the proposed piercing portion of the business. Human beings have been piercing their bodies for a very, very long time. I am on the conservative side, but I do have my ears pierced, as many others do. Body piercing is a personal form of expression and creativity, which is right in line with the spirit of the business. I like that they intend to provide an outlet that will be safe and professional for those who choose to express their creativity in this way. I appreciate you allowing me to voice my support for Jon and Georgie! Best Regards, Jennifer Hill Atlantic Beach Resident 1 Reeves, Derek From: Leslie <platock©comcast.net> Sent: Monday, August 22, 2016 3:56 PM To: Reeves, Derek Subject: TONIGHT'S MEETING/ New Business- Pure Imagination Dear Derek, I am a resident in Atlantic Beach and am writing this e mail as I cannot attend the meeting tonight. There is a nice couple named Jon and Georgie Salzer who will be at the meeting tonight in hopes of opening a new business called Pure Imagination. I have known them both for many years now and know that they are both truly nice and trustworthy. I believe that they will offer a great opportunity for both residents in Atlantic Beach and artists to enjoy another level creativity in our community . I think it would engage our citizens in their appreciation of the arts with book readings, literary events, handmade jewelry, and more . I hope the committee will allow them to realize their vision and dream of this local neighborhood store. Thank you for your time Sincerely, Leslie Platock 1 Reeves, Derek From: Susan Perry <sperryl8©gmail.com> Sent: Monday, August 22, 2016 4:28 PM To: Elected Officials; Reeves, Derek Subject: Jon and Georgie Salzer/Pure Imagination This is to advise you that I support the Salzer's in their effort to establish a small business in Atlantic Beach. They are a young couple who want to contribute to our city. They have done a thorough market study and believe their business would be a great asset to Atlantic Beach. I agree with them. Please approve their permit. Thank you. Susan Perry 179 Pine Street Atlantic Beach 1
