A Roofing-In-Progress In spection is a required inspection per the Florida Building Code-E xisting Building (FBC -EB).
The purpose of the inspection is to confirm any requ i red deck nailing ha s been completed and proper in stallation of a
secondary water barrier as required by Rule 9B-047S . This required inspection was not requested by the contractor
prior to completing the shingle installation fo r the above referenced permit, and now a De structive Roofing-In -
Progres s inspection must be performed by removing certain portions of shingles and/or underlayment to insure
compliance with state law. Not compl y ing with this requirement could affect your insurance covera ge fo r storm
damage.
