Summary of Donner Park activities:
• Attended BEAM Board Meeting, Jacksonville Housing and Urban Development Meeting
and USDA Commodities food meeting.
• Attended a field trip to Douglas Anderson School of the Arts holiday play. Twelve children
were in attendance.
• Attended Alltel Stadium for Jaguar Football game. Forty-two children were in attendance.
Also attended Music Concert at Alltel Stadium. Sixty-five children were in attendance.
• Donner Park hosted its annual holiday feast. Community senior citizens brought dishes
and spot-luck style dinner was served for the Thanksgiving holidays.
• Donner Park also hosted its first annual "Mother-Daughter Night". Mothers and Daughters
from the community attended the event. Food and drinks were served coupled with a
discussion about issues concerning Mother-Daughter bonding and female issues.
• A discussion with the youth regarding report cards and progress reports were held. A
small workshop was initialized to assist the children in understanding teacher comments
and grading scales.
Summary of Jordan Park activities:
• Preparations were made for the championship game for Flag Football. Trophies and
plaques were ordered for the team members and their coaches.
• Spoke to the kids concerning their grades and school attendances.
• preparing to vacate the building for new construction.
Other Adele Grage and Parks & Recreation activities included:
• Decorated Town Center for tree lighting ceremony, sold Luminaria kits and reviewed
Dutton Island plans.
• Maintained landscaped areas.
• Completed weekly City Manager's report.
• Held departmental staff meetings, attended commission meetings, pertormed web page
updates, answered phones and all other necessary functions of office.
