Subject: Animal Control Committee Recomendations
Dear Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners:
The Animal Control Committee is pleased to submit the requested recommendations for a designated area
for a dog park and for a time limit on animal control violations.
We recommend that a portion of either Dutton Island or the Tresca property be developed as a place where
dogs with owners be allowed to frolic without leashes. Such an area requires ample parking. in a place that
will not disturb citizens in neighboring communities and where unleashed dogs will not create a public safety
problem.
f ~ We also recoommend a three year time limit per each animal control ticket/violation.
