City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances in Chapter 6,Article II, Section 6-16.
A code enforcement inspection at 0 W DUTTON ISLAND RD was conducted on 8/20/2020. The City of
Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach Code
of Ordinances:
VIOLATION CODE: IPMC Sec. 307.1 Handrails and guardrails. Every exterior and interior flight of stairs shall
have a handrail on one side of the stair and every open portion of a stair, landing, balcony,porch, deck, ramp or
other walking surface which is more than 30 inches(762 mm)above the floor or grade below shall have guards.
Handrails shall not be less than 30 inches(762 mm) in height or more than 42 inches(1067 mm) in height
measured vertically above the nosing of the tread or above the finished floor of the landing or walking surfaces.
Guards shall not be less than 30 inches(762 mm)inches in height above the floor of the landing,balcony,porch,
deck or ramp or other walking surface.
NATURE OF VIOLATION: The handrail around the rear deck is broken and missing vertical supports.
This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by repairing within fifteen (15) days of the
receipt of this notice.

this case being referred to the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate resulting in fines up to two hundred fifty

characteristics: 1. Lots are maintained free from litter,trash, debris,discarded belongings, automotive parts,old
tires,construction materials,and broken and abandoned items.
NATURE OF VIOLATION: Over a dozen paint cans and buckets are being stored behind the front fence,
additional buckets are on the front porch. The back deck is also being used as a storage area for buckets,jugs,
wood and other items.
This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by clearing all buckets, cans and other
abandoned items from the property within five(5)days of the receipt of this notice.
