BACKGROUND:
The City of Atlantic Beach was appropriated $5,947.84 this year in Recycling Grant monies.
Last year we received $5,234.67 for an increase of $713.17. The following is a list of items we
can purchase for Expenditure of Budgeted Funds:
Alternative A:
1,133 Recycling Bins @ $5.25/Each
Alternative B:
622 Recycling Bins @ $5.25lEach $3,265.50
18 32-Gallon Trash Receptacles @ $149.00%Each 2,682.00
Alternative C:
609 Recycling Bins @ $5.25/Each $3,197.25
12 Benches @ $229.00/Each 2,748.00
Alternative D:
657 recycling Bins @ $5.25/Each $3,449.25
5 Picnic Tables @ $499.00/Each ~ 2,495.00
Total $5,948.25

RECOMMENDATION: Alternative B as we are placing Receptacles at each beach access.
We must submit our written request to the City of Jacksonville by
January 31, 1999 to be eligible for the State of Florida Recycling
Grant Fund.
