Please find attached a budget resolution amending the Fiscal Year 1998-99 Operating Budget to
appropriate funds for the construction of Tresca Property upon the awarding of Bid Number
9899-7.
The funds for this project are located in the Governmental Capital Project Fund.

RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 5
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
OCTOBER 1,1998 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30,1999, TO CREATE A
BUDGET FOR THE RECEIPT OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE FLORIDA
INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT AND TO APPROPRIATE THE FUNDS IN
THE CAPITAL PROJECT FUND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TRESCA
PARK.
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Atlantic Beach requires that the Ciry Commission
approve all budgetary increases and transfers at the fund level, and
WHEREAS, the nature of budgetary systems and those day to day decisions affecting such
budgetary systems require adjustments from time to time.
NOVV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic
Beach, that the following Budget Modification be approved for the 1998-1999 Operating Budget.

Description:
The City has received bids for the construction of Tresca Park. The recommendation of the
Recreation Director is to award Bid No. 9899-7 to ABBA Construction Inc. in the amount of
$338,147.41. This resolution amends the operating budget to reflect total cost of constructing Tresca
Park and the partial reimbursement from the Florida Inland Navigation District. Should the City
Commission choose not to do the project, this amendment is not necessary. If the commission chooses to
award the bid to a different company, the expenses line item of this resolution should be changed to
reflect the different amount.
Recommendation:
To amend the 1998-99 Operating Budget to reflect the anticipated grant proceeds and to
appropriate the funds for the construction of Tresca Park contingent of the awarding of the construction
