AGENDA ITEM: Easement for BellSouth telephone junction box

BACKGROUND:
.BellSouth Telephone Company has contacted City staffregazding acquiring an easement
on a portion of the Adele Grage Community CenterBull Park property for the installation of a
junction box. The box is needed to meet the demands for new service in Atlantic Beach. They
have met with staff and propose to install the cabinet on a concrete slab at the location shown on
the attached drawing. A formal easement document and survey will be prepared by BellSouth if
this receives Commission approval.
The proposed cabinet is 4 feet by 8 feet and is 6 feet high. It is to be placed on a concrete
~~ slab 12 feet by 15 feet within an easement 12 feet by 15 feet. The azea shown on the attached
drawing is large enough to accommodate the easement and is outside of the area of the Bull Park
improvements, as currently designed.
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize BellSouth to proceed with prepazation of easement documents and survey for a
12 foot by 15 foot easement at the location indicated on the attached drawing.
