The City of Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances: VIOLATION CODE: IPMC 304.7 Roofs and drainage. The roof and flashing shall be sound, tight and not have defects that admit rain. Roof drainage shall be adequate to prevent dampness or deterioration in the walls or interior portion of the structure. Roof drains, gutters and downspouts shall be maintained in good repair and free from obstructions. Roof water shall not be discharged in a manner that creates a public nuisance. NATURE OF VIOLATION: The roof is currently covered in a tarp and is in need of repair. This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by removing the tarps and repairing the roof so that the structure is waterproof within thirty (30) days of the receipt of this notice. Failure to correct the violation by the required date may result in this case being referred to the Code Enforcement Board resulting in fines up to two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per day.
