CITY COMMISSIONER MEETING
STAFF REPORT
ITEM: Establishment of a full time Park Attendant position within the Parks and
Recreation (P&R) Department. (See attached position description)
DISCUSSION AND/OR BACKGROUND:
Section 13 of the City Charter requires that the City Commission create, change or

Based upon an increase in the number of parks (Dutton/Tresea), upgrades to

.......way. Discussion at that time included the addition of a Park "Ranger" of some
sort. However, no actual position was approved at that time. The purpose of this
recommendation is to formally approve the position as discussed at that time.
SUBMITTED BY: David Thompson, City Manager
FUNDING: $25,000 for this fiscal year was placed within the Parks Department to either hire a
Park Ranger or propose other part maintenance solutions. The cost (salary and

the 1999/2000 Budget.
