A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA
APPROVING A 3% SALARY INCREASE FOR THE CITY CLERK,
RETROACTIVE TO 10/1/2019, AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF
RETROACTIVE PAY.
WHEREAS, the city clerk is a Charter Officer whose rate of compensation is set by the
Commission; and
WHEREAS, at its meeting on September 23, 2019, the City Commission agreed that all
three Charter Officers performed in a satisfactory manner over the rating period; and
WHEREAS, the last pay increase for the city clerk was October 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS,the FY 2019-2020 budget includes funds needed to provide a 3%pay increase
for the city clerk, retroactive to October 1, 2019; and
NOW THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission approves a 3% salary increase for the city clerk,
retroactive to October 1, 2019, and authorizes the payment of retroactive pay in the amount of
2,381.44 on the September 25, 2020 paycheck.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, this 14th day of
September, 2020.
