Please correct or provide the following to obtain plans approval. When resubmitting corrected
sheets, please provide a written narrative letter responding to our comments, along with
clouded areas on revised sheets clearly showing areas where changes or corrections have
occurred.
The intended occupancy indicated on the submitted drawings conflicts with the 5th Edition
Florida Fire Prevention Code, Section 6.1.2.1*. The combined occupancy load exceeds 50 or
more persons, thus defining the occupancy as "Assembly".
Provide the occupant load calculations in accordance with the 5th Edition Florida Fire
prevention Code, Section
5th Edition Florida Fire Prevention Code, Section 12.2.4*, Section 12.2.4.1 The number of
means of egress shall be in accordance with Section 7.4, other than exits for fenced outdoor
assembly
Provide exit tactile signs in accordance with the 5th Edition Florida Fire Prevention Code,

The location of the Kitchen Hood exhaust fan is not in compliance with NFPA 96, Section 7.8.3
(2011 Edition)
Please provide proof of meeting minimum required fire flow requirements for proposed
building per NFPA 1 18.4 and Table 18.4.5.1.2. This can be accomplished by contacting JEA and
obtain hydrant flow test information conducted within the last 12 months and providing
report with next submission. Flow data can also be obtained by private provider as long as it is
witnessed by our office. Hydrant must be within 500' of proposed building measured via
drivable fire department access road.
