A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE 2020 AMENDMENT, TO THE 2019-2022 NORTHEAST
FLORIDA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' LOCAL 630 LIUNA, AFL-CIO "BLUE
COLLAR" CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach currently has a contract in place with the Northeast
Florida Public Employees' Local 630 LIUNA, AFL-CIO "Blue Collar" Union expiring in 2022;
and
WHEREAS, every year a new amendment to the contract is negotiated; and
WHEREAS, Northeast Florida Public Employees' Local 630 LIUNA, AFL-CIO "Blue
Collar" Union and the City had a successful negotiation process this year; and
WHEREAS, the following provisions were updated in the new contract:
The Wages article to reflect the employee wage increase contained in this year's
2020-2021 budget; and
Added language to provide for the provision of dri-fit shirts and safety boots to all
relevant union employees.
Union Steward article to add two paid days of Union -paid training per year for each
Union Steward.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby approves the 2020 Amendment to the 2019-
2022 Northeast Florida Public Employees' Local 630 LIUNA, AFL-CIO "Blue Collar" Union
contract;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
amendment;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
