A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID #2021-03 FOR THE SEMINOLE RD. SIDEWALK
IMRPOVEMENTS (BELVEDERE ST. TO DAVID ST.).
WHEREAS, on October 14th, 2020, three bids were opened for Bid #2021-03 for the
Seminole Rd. Sidewalk Improvements (Belvedere St. to David Street) project; and
WHEREAS, the low bid was from Jax Utilities Management, Inc. in the total amount of
87,158.50 (including 10% contingency); and
WHEREAS, Jax Utilities Management, Inc. submitted all required documents in their bid
submittal; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials for the
reconstruction of the residential driveways, minor grading, removal of the existing 5' wide
sidewalk, and construction of an 8' wide sidewalk on the west side of Seminole Road from
Belvedere St. to David St.; and
WHEREAS, the Contractor will be given sixty (60) days to complete the project;
WHEREAS, the project is funded under account 470-0000-538-6300; project #PU2002
Seminole Road Pipe Replacement; and;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid #2021-03 to Jax Utilities
Management, Inc. in the amount of $87,158.50 for the Seminole Road Sidewalk Improvements
Belvedere St. to David St.) in accordance with the bid specifications;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with Jax Utilities Management, Inc.;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
