AGENDA ITEM: Tresca Property change order-extend boardwalk leading to the canoe
launch 30 additional feet at a cost of $3,070.

BACKGROUND: On Janua~.y 25, 1999, the City Commission award bid number 9899-
7-Constnuction ofthe Tresca Property to ABBA Construction Inc.
AI3BA has installed the crushed shell, parking area, and 50% of the
boardwall'{. After reviewing the plans and measuring the ~~rea fc-r the canoe
launch, the Contractor informed us that the canoe launch fell 30 feet short
of the water.. Because of the tide the current design would allow limited
access to the; water and the proposed 30 foot extension would allow far
greater access. ABBA Construction has given us a change order proposal
to extend the boardwalk leading to the canoe launch.
The funds for this change order will come from account number. 300-0000-
5 72-5300 (Improvements other than Building).
RECOMMENDATION: Approve proposed change order to extend the boardwalk leading to
th.e canoe launch at the Tresca Property 30 feet in the amount of
$3,070.

needs to be rectified inunE:diately. The (~:anoe Launch will fall short of reaching the waters edge by 30' feet.
ABBA is proposing to lengthen the boardwalk the additional 30' inorder to reach the waters ecjge for;
