1. CALL TO ORDER - CHAIR
Meeting was called to order at 3:30 pm.
2. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES FROM JUNE 9, 2020
A. Approve as written.
3. RECOGNITION OF VISITORS
Chair Curtis welcomed new member Mauricio Gonzalez and visitors.
4. ONGOING BUSINESS
A. Dog Festival - An
An reported that the event will take place next year in Johansen Park. There will be a
number of contests, the event will be low key and lots of family fun. The City
Manager came up with the idea from his time in Savannah. We will put together a list
of things to do and send it out to everyone.
B. Public Art Grant Request - 645 Mayport Road Art Project Amanda
Paula reported that the project has started and questioned whether the company has
received funding. Amanda replied that the Owner is using his money to begin the
project, which is part of the match. The project is very visible from Mayport Road.

The committee heard from representatives from Atlantic Beach Elementary School,
Mayport Middle School, Fletcher High School, Deck the Chairs, Beaches Go Green,
Turkey Trot, Meraki Wellness Festival, and Kingdom Builders Fellowship. Each
organization representative introduced themselves and told a little bit about the
organization and program

A. Artisans' Faire
Paula recommended rescheduling the Artisans' Faire to next year because of COVID-
19. The committee discussed who would oversee the event and recommended moving
the event to February.
Paula motioned Carol seconded to reschedule the Artisans' Faire to February because
of COVID-19. All in favor.

little bit about the organization and the recommended program.
Paula motioned seconded by Carol to recommend funding for the following
organizations totaling $47, 538. All in favor.

Paula motioned seconded by Carol for the organizations not to start the programs until
after January because of COVID-19 unless they can do them virtually or they city
gives permission.
