Tresca Property change order-extend boardwalk leading to the canoe
launch 30 additional feet at a cost of $3,070.

BACKGROUND: On January 25, 1999, the City Commission award bid number 9899-
7-Construction of the Tresca Property to ABBA Construction Inc.
ABBA has installed the crushed shell, parking area, and 50% of the
boardwalk. After reviewing the plans and measuring the area for the canoe
launch, the Contractor informed us that the canoe launch fell 30 feet short
of the water. Because of the tide the current design would allow limited
access to the water and the proposed 30 foot extension would allow for
greater access. ABBA Construction has given us a change order proposal
to extend the boardwalk leading to the canoe launch.
The funds for this change order will come from account number 300-0000-
572-6300 (Improvements other than Building).
RECOMMENDATION: Approve proposed change order to extend the boardwalk leading to
the canoe launch at the Tresca Property 30 feet in the amount of
$3,070.

Description of Work
ABBA Construction has installed the crush shell path per the plans and has come up with situation that
needs to be rectified immediately. The Canoe Launch will fall short of reaching the waters edge by 30' feet.
ABBA is proposing to lengthen the boardwalk the additional 30' inorder to reach the waters edge for;
1.) $ 3,070.00
2.) An Additional 5 days is also being requested for the completion of this work
CnvnerBuyer agees to pay Contractor for all labor, material and servia:s to be famished by Convador to OwnerBuyer, under the terms oftltis Convad.
ALL FOR THE SUM OF:Three thousand seventy dollars and no cents ($ 3,070.00)
DEPOSIT: N/A BALANCE DUE DATE:Upon Invoice
All material is guaranteed to be as specified. All wont to be completed is a workmanlilre mavner accordmg to standard practices. Any alteration or deviation from above specifications
