Correction Comments
Setbacks: Section 24-106(e)(3) requires side yard setbacks in the RS-2 zoning district to be a
combined 15 feet, with a minimum of 5' on either side. On the submitted copy of the survey there is
handwriting showing side yard setback of 3 feet. However, the survey shows 13.9 feet between the
existing house and the side property line and the drawings for the addition show the new wall
extending 8 feet and 11.5 inches from the existing home, which would put the addition 4 feet and
11.3 inches from the side property line. Please clarify the setbacks of the addition, keeping in mind
that it must be a minimum of 5 feet from the property line.
Side Yard Projections: Section 24-83(b) limits side yard projections into side yard setbacks, including
roof overhangs, to 24”. Please show any roof overhangs for the addition, if applicable.
