JAMES CHRISTMAN FOR HIS TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE AS AN OUTSTANDING POLICE LIEUTENANT FOR THE CITY AND CITIZENS OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA WHEREAS, Lt. James Christman has served as a Police Officer for twenty-five years with the city; and WHEREAS, he began his career on October 11, 1974, was promoted to Sergeant in 1980, and was promoted to Lieutenant on October 11, 1985; and WHEREAS, he was trained in Traffic Accident Investigation, and assigned to oversee the Traffic Accident Investigation Function of the Department for several years. WHEREAS, he has been instrumental in establishing and managing the Neighborhood Crime Watch and Crime Prevention Programs for the Department; and WHEREAS, he is a certified physical fitness instructor and oversees the department's physical fitness program and testing of officers and officer applicants; and WHEREAS, Lt. Christman has engaged in these additional duties for the department while he continues his commitment as a shift commander and street supervisor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:. SECTION 1. The City Commission and Citizens of Atlantic Beach extend their most heartfelt appreciation to Lt. James Christman for his many years of outstanding service in protecting our Community.
