Re: Tree Fund Partial Refund
To whom it may concern,
On December 18, 2015, Mrs. Masters paid $9,077.40 into the Tree Fund with check number 4002
for 73.8 inches of required mitigation. This was the result of the removal of 157.6 inches trees and
the preservation of a 5 inch tree on her property at 1024 Main Street.
After t he completion of a new single family home on the property, a new 4 inch Live Oak was
planted. Mrs. Masters has requested a refund for the portion of mitigation that this tree provides.
Live Oaks are given double credit under the City’s code. The planted tr ee has a value of 8 inches
or $984.00 at the Tree Fund rate of $123.00 per inch.
As a result of this information I am approving the refund of $984.00 to Mrs. Masters.
