Also included in these plans are a patio with trellis and fireplace and site work including retaining walls. Drawings provided show that the garage addition complies with all required setbacks. Based on this, the proposed construction does not contravene any local setbacks or zoning codes. This letter does not constitute an approval by the City of Atlantic Beach. The project must still be submitted to the City in a permit application and be reviewed by all applicable departments prior to approval and issuance of a permit. Atlantic Beach, FL 32233 Dear Derek, We have submitted an application to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for a Permit for Construction Seaward of the Coastal Construction Control Line (CCCL) for the Mularkey Residence located at 1719 Beach Ave. The DEP has requested that we submit a letter of local approval from the City of Atlantic Beach Planning Department. The specific application requirement is as follows: "Written evidence, provided by the appropriate local governmental agency having jurisdiction over the activity, that the proposed activity, as submitted to the Bureau, does not contravene local setback requirements or zoning codes."
