Re: Revision to Deck Inspection
Project: 311 Ahern St Atlantic Beach
To Whom It May Concern,
The purpose of this letter is to confirm that I have reviewed the deck and stairs at 311 Ahern St shown
in the photo below and in my opinion, the deck is structurally adequate to support the loads as
required by the Florida Building Code.
Please note that the “as-built” deck was compared to the structural engineered plans. It was observed
that some framing changes were made, however overall the deck was in substantial conformance with
the structural engineered plans.
In addition to the observable deck framing, I have also reviewed the pictures of the foundation taken by
the contractor prior to pouring concrete, please see below. Based on the pictures provided to me, I
have concluded that the footings meet the intent of the structural engineered plans and are acceptable.
