Upon inspection of the property, I found a Quercus virginiana, (Live Oak) that should
be removed. The live oak has a large hole in the base of the trunk. The hole extends along the
trunk to the top of the tree. This allows the elements and insects to further damage the wood on
the inside of the tree. Also, making it a hazard that could potentially fall and damage the
property. The tree should be removed and replaced with an ornamental tree that does not have a
large root system. There is already a large live oak in the front yard which doesn’t allow for
adequate soil space for a similar tree.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
