A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF A 2021 FORD F-450 REGULAR CAB PICKUP TRUCK FROM
ALAN JAY FLEET SALES FOR $50,534; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND
AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City is in need of an additional, multi-purpose truck to transport the mini excavator and
backhoe, and to accommodate full staffing of the distribution department; and
WHEREAS, the additional truck will benefit the Public Utilities Department by becoming the primary
heavy duty truck for hauling and transporting large equipment; and
WHEREAS, Alan Jay Fleet Sales is the preferred provider of this truck; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Public Utilities Fund for this purpose.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase of a 2021 Ford F-450 Regular Cab Pickup
Truck from Alan Jay Fleet Sales for $50,534.
Section 2. Alan Jay Fleet Sales is the preferred provider of this product.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities Fund for this
purpose.
Section 4. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts and purchase
orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution;
