A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF INSTALLATION SERVICES FOR
EMERGENCY GENERATORS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING, CITY
HALL AND THE CAMELIA STREET LIFT STATION.
WHEREAS, purchase of emergency generators for the Public Works Building, City Hall
and the Camelia Street Lift Station (L.S. L) was authorized via Resolution 20-35; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department purchased a Caterpillar D-80 diesel powered
generator set rated for 80 KW at the Public Works Building and a Caterpillar D-125 diesel powered
generator set rated for 125 KW at City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Department purchased a Caterpillar DG -50 propane
powered generator set rated for 50 KW at the Camelia Street Lift Station (L.S. L); and
WHEREAS, this equipment must now be installed and Ring Power Corporation quoted
prices for installation service of $45,747.61 for the Public Works Building, $83,650.07 for City Hall
and $25,184.30 for the Camelia Street Lift Station from the Sourcewell CAT Contract No. 120617 -
CAT per quotes dated August 28, 2020; and
WHEREAS, FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grants HMGP 4337-258-R & HMGP 4337-251-R
will reimburse the City of Atlantic Beach for 75% of the cost of the generator installation; and
WHEREAS, adequate funding is available in Public Works Department account 001-1009-
519.64-00 and Public Utilities Department account 410-5506-535.34-00 for installation; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve a
Purchase Order in the amount of $154,581.98 to Ring Power Corporation for the installation of of
three emergency generators; and
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
