In response to your recent Local Business Tax Application with the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida for
Executive Auto Sport Inc, it has been determined that you will need to apply for a use-by-exception.
There are several aspects of a business like this in our Land Development Regulations (LDR) that fall
under the use-by-exception category for Light Industrial and Warehousing zoning. In no particular order,
uses that partake in the following must apply for a use-by-exception:
1. Bulk storage of flammable liquids or gases.
2. Sale of automobiles.
3. Heavy automotive repair.
4. Welding, metal fabrication and sheet metal shops.
5. Manufacturing boats and surfboards (similar to race cars).
Applications for a use-by-exception can be picked up in person at City Hall or online on the city’s website
under the Planning and Zoning Forms in the Planning and Zoning Department.
