The City of Atlantic Beach did a preliminary review of your plans far a new swimming pool to be
constructed east of an existing single family home at 1957 Beach Avenue. Drawings provided
show that the swimming pool will be located within the northern and southern lines of the existing
house and therefore complies with the minimum five foot side yard setbacks. All decking will be
within one foot of grade and pool equipment will be located on the north side of the building at
the eastern end. Based on this, the proposed construction does not contravene any local setbacks
or zoning codes.
This letter does not constitute an approval by the City of Atlantic Beach. The project must still be
submitted to the City in a permit application and be reviewed by all applicable departments prior
to approval and issuance of a permit.
