Please explain any employment experience, board/committee experience, and/or community volunteer
experience relative to the board/committee applying for.
I am a geographer with both a B.S. and M.S. in geography and nine years of experience
in the field of GIS. During this time I have spend the past four years with the St. Johns
County GIS Division. While with the County I have served as the GIS Division's
representative to the Board of County Commissioners and Planning and Zoning Agency
meetings for nearly 2 years. From this experience I have gained knowledge of the
development process and seen first hand how the development process works and issues
it poses.
Please provide a brief explanation of your interest or any special qualifications you have in this field and
your reasons for wishing to be appointed to this board/committee.
As resident of Atlantic Beach I have a desire to apply my academic and work experience
to serve the community I live in. As a geographer I would bring to this board a different
yet complimentary body knowledge of spatial relationships that can be a benefit to this
community as we address the challenges of growth faced by all of Northeast, Florida.
