Please explain any employment experience, board/committee experience, and/or community volunteer experience
relative to the board/committee applying for.
I have been on a number of Boards and committees over the years, through my work as a Director of Mental Health
Services, and understand the importance of community input in an organizations/city's government. I have also gone
through the Atlantic Beach home building process with my brother, and have learned quite a bit about the codes of the
city.
Please provide a brief explanation of your interest or any special qualifications you have in this field and your reasons
for wishing to be appointed to this board/committee.
Living on the West side of Mayport road, in Atlantic Beach, I have had a # of contacts with Code Enforcement
because I own a home in the same neighborhood as a lot of rentals with very transient populations. I think it is very
important to have representation on the Codes Board from in our part of Atlantic Beach. I have a lot of concerned
neighbors that feel like our side of Atlantic Beach daes not matter as much as some other parts of the AB. I don't
necessarily think that is true and would like the opportunity to work with others on the Codes Board in representing
our part of Atlantic Beach.
