I am applying for the Code Enforcement Board(with the Board Member Review Committee as an alternative). My areas of expertise include Risk Management,Relationship Management,Strategy Execution,Auditing/Compliance and Project Management. The roles I've served in within the last 7 years have been with a company with$8B+annual revenue and have included Portfolio Management Principal within the company's Corporate Development group,Enterprise Risk Management Program Manger,as well as a consultant within Internal Audit. I am a Certified Public Accountant, and have been a resident in Atlantic Beach for 5+years. In addition to my recent corporate experience, I am a US Navy veteran,served as adjunct faculty for the University of North Florida and am a small business owner(registered yoga teacher). Please provide a brief explanation of your interest or any special qualifications you have in this field and your reasons for wishing to be appointed to this board/committee. I would like to contribute my 10+years of operational,financial and information technology consulting experience to ensuring Atlantic Beach continues to be a great place to live and work. I look forward to contributing my organizational,communication and team building skills to the continued success and improvement of our city. From the perspective of the Code Enforcement Board, I think my background in auditing/compliance and risk management would support the continued effectiveness of the board,particularly from the perspective of evaluating cases against the various /- state,county and local codes and ordinances. From the perspective of the Board Member Review Committee, I think my experience in Relationship Management,Strategy Execution and overall Project Management are key skill sets that would assist in selection of qualified candidates.
