Work Experience
01/01/02 - 09/01/05, CEO and Owner, CCS Presentation Systems, Jacksonville, FL
CCS Presentation Systems is an audio visual equipment dealer and integrator that
my wife and I founded and grew into an $11 million enterprise before selling the
business. We were able to build the company into the premier A/V dealership in
Jacksonville through focus on customer satisfaction and tireless attention to detail. I
took responsibility for day to day operations, vendor relationships, financial
management, sales management, and personnel management.
09/01/77 -12/31/01, Florida Service Executive, IBM, Jacksonville, FL
I began my IBM career as a salesman and was promoted into several sales and
service management positions over the years, consistently over achieving sales
quotas. In sales management positions, successfully re-staffed and trained under
performing sales teams in three separate locations. My final position was as General
Manager for IBM integration and maintenance business for Florida, responsible for
120 employees, $170 million in revenue and complete customer satisfaction.
06/29/66 - 08/31/77, Search and Rescue Pilot, USN, Jacksonville, FL
After graduating from USNA, I was commissioned an officer and became a
helicopter pilot. While designated as a search and rescue pilot, collateral duties
included Maintenance Quality Assurance Officer, Bachelor Officer Quarters Officer
in Charge, Air Operations Officer, Legal Officer, and Battalion Officer.
Community involvement
Currently serving on Leadership Council of Take Stock in Children, a mentoring
and scholarship program for at risk students, am on the Board of Directors and
Executive Committee for Goodwill Industries of Northeast Florida and chairman of
their New Ventures Committee, and recruiter (Blue and Gold Officer) for US Naval
Academy.
